Members are asked to demo a project and this week we will be ​viewing Kathy Palphy's burrito pillow case video. This demo with show you the shortcuts to making a pillow case to donate or give as a gift. In celebration of Valentine's Day, members who signed up for the Galentine Exchange will show what they received from another guild member. Thank you Adriane, our Program Director, for creating this fun event. We will also be viewing a video of quilts from another guild's quilt show.

Tonight's program will be a live lecture with Karen Brow-Meier, Designer and owner of Java House Quilts.
Karen began her career as a graphic designer and photographer. She added writer, cartoon illustrator and display designer to her resume. She was able to incorporate all these skill when she began quilting. Her quilts are pieced and applique blocks with animal themes. Karen's "Java House Quilts" patterns offer inventive construction methods and surprises which can enhance the beauty and appleal of any quilt or sewing project.

Programs has invited several members to demonstrate quilting techniques including Applique, embelishing your quilt projects, and piecing skill builders. Thank you to the members teaching tonight and helping those watching to learn new or improve our quilting skills.

Tonight's speaker is Patricia Belyea with her lecture about the Alluring World of Japanese Yukata Quilts. She will present a 1 hour lecture with a virtual tour of the Tokyo Quilt Festival. Then get swept away to a chusen-dyeing workshop where your group watches the elaborate hand-dyeing process. Patricia finishes with a trunk show of her quilts made with Japanese cottons and talks about how the fabrics inspire her quilt compositions.​

This will be our year end virtual banquet event. We will be voting on Officers and Directors for the 2021-22 guild year. Please contact our President, Evelyn Johnson if you are willing to fill one of the open board positions. As of today, January 21, there are several open positions to fill.

Membership dues and fees collected help pay for guest speakers and classes. Please use the membership form on this website or in the Needle Notes to pay your dues, and please mail them to the guild's PO Box 192, Concord, NH 03301-0192. Thanks for your continued support.

Please support our speakers by signing up for Virtual Saturday Demo Classes which cost 
approximately $25.00 to 40.00 for members, and an additional $10.00 for non-members (prices vary per class). Most guilds are holding classes virtually to keep the teachers and members safe. 
Please remember that the class must be paid at the time of sign up and is non-refundable.
